The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy

On the afternoon of November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy arrived in Dallas. He was scheduled to appear in a motorcade through the city and to give a major speech. Radio station KLIF in Dallas interrupted its regular programming to bring news from the scene after shots rang out in Dealey Plaza. This recording has been edited to remove the music and the ads. The first notice came in at 1:03 pm (11 second into this recording.) The notice at 35 seconds was actually at 1:09 pm, and the programming was turned over to news at 1:17 pm, just over 1-1/2 minutes into this recording. The news here ends with the notice that the president is dead.
